Our air based pipetting channels all have volume verified pipetting using Sensor Controlled Pipetting (SCP).  Whether independent channels, fixed-8 or the 96 channel head, each channel can verify each liquid transfer in addition to the ability to control each volume.  This individual control you would expect in our independent channel but it also come in our fixed-8 and 96 channel head.  This means that SCP technology gives you the ability to have a fixed-8 or 96 channel device that can pipet individual volumes, it is no longer a case where a 96 head HAS to pipet the SAME volume, due to the fact that in the design of these types of systems, all the channels are driven by a single drive motor.

SCP gives you verified liquid transfers in addition to independent volumes no matter the format!

Benefits:

  • SCP allows the active 'volumetric' monitoring of pipetting leading to more precise and validated liquid transfers
  • Factory calibrated 'out-of-box' pipetting
  • Reproducibility from tip to tip and platform to platform
  • Uses same technology as hand held pipettes that are the standard in the lab
  • Active and continuous anti-drip and leak monitoring
  • No cross contamination with the use of disposable tips
  • Liquid level sensing with standard clear tips
  • Actually see the liquid in your tips, as opposed to black poly carbonate tips

Advantages over microliter/milliliter liquid based systems:

  • Greatly Reduced liquid class development
  • No dilution effects from fluid filled microliter/milliliter systems
  • No hydraulic system fluid, reservoir or liquid lines throughout to maintain and purge daily
  • No hand tightened fittings
  • Easy service diagnostics
  • No remote syringes for liquid handling
  • No need for expensive 'black' tips to sense liquid levels

Advantages over other air based systems:

  • Actual volume measurement error handling as opposed to other systems that only report a clogged tip or short sample
  • Greatly reduced liquid class development
  • No guide band development for error handling
  • No syringe seals to monitor
